The NE5800 series is a high‑integration, medium‑capacity GPON OLT platform designed for operators, ISPs, enterprises, and campus or park networks requiring reliable and scalable FTTX deployment. Built on a compact 1U hardware architecture, the NE5800 significantly reduces rack space usage and simplifies installation, making it ideal for central offices, edge sites, and distributed access points. Its passive optical network design adopts a point‑to‑multipoint topology, connecting OLT, ODN, and ONU to deliver high‑bandwidth broadband, voice, video, and IoT services. Fully compliant with ITU‑T G.984/G.988, the NE5800 ensures strong interoperability and supports mixed networking with different types or brands of ONUs, enabling operators to reuse existing ONU resources and reduce CAPEX. The ODN is built using single‑mode fibers and passive optical components such as splitters and connectors, providing a stable optical transmission medium between OLT and ONU for FTTH, enterprise park access, campus networks, and ETC roadside units. The NE5800 integrates rich Layer 2/3 switching, comprehensive service management, and carrier‑grade reliability. It supports VLAN, QoS, ACL, multicast, and advanced forwarding features to meet diverse service requirements. Multiple protection mechanisms—including FlexLink, STP/RSTP/MSTP, ERPS, and LACP—ensure fast convergence and stable operation under complex network conditions.
